    Ugh...

Part of what's keeping me on the movie script is that one of my CrushonAI bots known as "Cheerleader Bimbofication" keeps breaking. I've tried everything I can to get it to function properly, but I can't seem to get it to work the way I want.

    Little by little

Who knew doing what I'm about to do would make it hard to want to write.

But, considering what I'm going to do, I'm pretty sure I need to take these breaks otherwise I'll start getting very emotional very quickly.

Making Minecraft An Open Sandbox Again

While I didn't make much progress on the season six movie today, that was because I wanted to come up with a way to turn Minecraft into being more of the open sandbox experience it was originally known for by focusing on player choices.

    Slow progress...

Made some progress with the Movie Finale for Season Six of My Little Pony: When Friendship Shimmers - Reboot; just not a lot.

I'm probably struggling with this, because of what I'm going to do during said movie...

Yet, I'd trust no one but myself to do what I've got planned so, asking someone else to do this is out of the question.

    Gah...

Once again, going to have to further delay the Season Six Movie Finale because I'm in a little bit of a writer's block.

I really hope I can conquer this, because I was really hoping to have season six finished by the time the Thousand Year Door remake comes out...

New Card Game: King's Pawns · 11:53pm April 26th

Like I mentioned last blog post, I've created a fun card game I'd like to see spread across the internet like wildfire, so feel free to spread the news of this to as many people as possible and even feel free to use it for yourself. I call the new card game "King's Pawns", and the rules change depending on how many people are playing. But there are a few basic rules that are to be followed regardless of how many players there are; and it can be played with up to 8 people.

Basic Rules:

  • Deal each player five cards by dealing the cards in a counter-clockwise fashion (to the left), then place all the remaining cards face down in the center as the Draw Deck. Keep your own hand hidden from the other players at all times.
  • The oldest player goes first on the first round, then play proceeds clockwise (to the right); on subsequent rounds, the person who went first deals the cards on the next round, then the person to their right goes first.
  • Flip the top card of the Draw Deck right next to it. This is called the "King's Deck".
  • Draw the top card from the Draw Deck, then see if you have a card that is one higher or one lower then the card that's is on top of the King's Deck. If you don't, you must discard one card face up to a discard pile in front of you ignoring what's on top of it. This called the "Pawn Discard".
  • You can stack cards ascending order of Ace, 2, 3, 4, etc. or in descending order of King, Queen, Jack, 10, etc.; you can also put a King on top of an Ace or an Ace on top of a King.
  • Once the Draw Deck runs out, play continues with everyone discarding cards to either the King's Deck or Pawn Discard areas.
  • After all cards have been discarded, follow the rules according to how many players their are. If you showed your cards to anyone else, either take away a point (3-8) players) or give yourself an extra penalty point (2 Players)

And now, here are the rules according to how many players are playing:
2 Player Rules

  • All Basic Rules Apply
  • Instead of the oldest player going first in the first round, flip a coin. Heads means the oldest player goes first, while tails means the youngest. If there's a tie in your age, go by whoever's birthday comes soonest or latest.
  • On subsequent rounds, the player who lost the last round will go first instead.
  • When all cards have been discarded, the player with the most cards in their Pawn Discard earns one penalty point; the first player who gains three penalty points losses.
  • You can choose to use pawn pieces to track points gained if you have access to them. For even greater immersion, have each player have their own color (meaning one player gets white pawns, while the other gets black).

3-4 Player Rules

  • All basic rules apply.
  • When all the cards are discarded, the player who has the least amount of cards in their Pawn Discard earns one point; the first player to three points wins.
  • Just like with two players, you can choose to track points gained with pawn chess pieces if you have access to them.

5-8 Player Rules

  • All Basic Rules Apply
  • Instead of using only one deck of cards, use two decks of cards. If you only have access to the one deck of cards, then depending on the number of players present, deal the cards accordingly: 5 Players = Four Cards Each; 6 or 7 Players = Three Cards Each; 8 Players = Two Cards Each
  • When all cards are discarded, the player with the least amount of cards in their Pawn Discard gains one point; the first player to reach three points wins.
  • While you can use pawn chess pieces to track points gained like with two to four players, depending on the number of players, you may need more then one chess set if you wish to track score this way.
