New BlossomThing Art Commissions and a Change to the Cover Art · 1:08am February 11th
Before I talk about the change to the cover art, let me show off some commissions. Busts of Blossomforth and Amber! I really love how these turn out, I think they do an excellent job of capturing some of their character.
Amber mocks you with her biological superiority and flexibility. She knows she’s the dominant organism and you are but her plaything. A version of Thingpone from my Blossomthing story. She’s a dominant person, a predator teetering between evil and good, treating ponies as tools and toys but she also has a hidden loving and caring side to her.
Blossomforth the bio-shapeshifter gives your nose a boop! An alternate version of Blossomforth from my story. She's still a little bit shy and embarrassed about her strange shapeshifting abilities but slithers down anyways for a little boop.
Now that that is done, let's move on to the subject of the story's cover art. I liked the old cover art because it showcases the body horror aspect but the new one doesn't so I completely revamped the introductory summary so that it would give a greater understanding of these themes. The cover art is eye catching but I worry that people would confuse Blossom as a snake pony rather than a tentacle creature. I want your opinions, do you think that the following picture would be more appropriate?
Perhaps that one would be more clear and explicit but the bust version seems like it may be simpler and more eye catching. Please let me know your opinion. I will try to work on the next BlossomThing chapter soon. Wish me luck, I hope I can come up with some good ideas to continue the story.

Although the first actually seems more enjoyable, the second gives a better idea of what the story is about.

Alrighty, I think I agree. I changed the cover art to the second image. I do like the simple bust version but the second one does give a good idea of what's going on. Thanks!
