Another look back at a past year, and some tentative hopes for the upcoming one...

So... once more, a year ends, and another begins.

Both for the world at large, and for me on this site specifically. And again, I look back at the year that just ended and think back on how it was for me on this site.

I still have no complaints on what this site brought me. Again, I got to read many great stories, and to interact with many great users.

But looking at my own performance here... honestly, I can't help but wish I had actually done better, because a whole year went by and I don't feel I have much to show for it, not only in terms of my real life as a whole but in terms of this site specifically as well. I didn't post anything of any of the stories I had up, got behind on reviews I wanted to leave for fics I'm following, barely did any fic work in general, and far too many of my posts on this site were about me complaining about some sort of misfortune in my personal life.

Hopefully, this year will be better. And for what it's worth, I do want it to be better. But... well... I don't know. I guess there is a 'but', but at the end of the day, it really is just my responsibility to try.

I only hope that this time around, I'll actually succeed, both in actually getting stories out and in posting stuff that isn't just me complaining.
