Apothecaries

It's incredibly rare that I come across an anime that is has a full 5/5 star rating on Crunchy-roll, but I can definitely see how The Apothecary Diaries fits into it. Some may disagree - which is fine - but I feel this anime certainly deserves its star rating! It has an amazingly written Female Lead with well-pacing and beautiful animation. Plot wise, it follows the tale of a young lady named Maomao who is sold as a servant to the palace of the emperor. Only... that's not quite what she will be doing. Instead, she ends up helping solving a series of medical investigations and finding cures to them unintentionally making a name for herself in the process. For anyone interested in plots involving poisons and medicinal cures, this may be the anime for you!
