'Hog Watch (It's Christmas Eve And I'm Tired, Alright?) · 3:07pm Dec 24th, 2023
Couple of reasons I'm dropping this, gonna try to get to the big one in the new year because I found out a few holistic things that're just adorable and frankly you people need some good taste in your lives anyway*, but the reason this is coming today is, well, gonna be too busy tommorrow, obviously. So anyway, that one British Sonic the Hedgehog Christmas '96 story.
Question: what's weirder than a British Sonic the Hedgehog comic where a druidic version of Father Christmas shows up to urge the tyrannical Dr. Robotink to change his ways, leaving him alone with nothing but his cold, sterile, soon-to-fall empire for his folly?
The fact he shows up again in 1997!
Sonic the Comic was great, don't let anyone tell you different.
Been especially busy this year, with the pay off that I'm going home next year! I've bought a house in Edinburgh! I'm going home, baby! The capital, no less!
Downside is that I've spent most of this year with my nose to the grindstone with no time to focus on Super Pony Roomies or Distinguished Competitors, a situation I hope to rectify in the new year, although that may take a while because the lack of creative time/energy comes from working on a little fanzine project I hope to be able to talk about soon! It's even loosely related to this hedgehog bollocks.
Posting the rest of the StC Chrimbo'97 for completion and 'cause they're cute, plus that year's Nigel Kitching's cult classic Decap Attack strips, the thing I'm hoping to blether about later on. (Anyone who knows Decap well can probably guess why, but seriously, it's cute how certain things in the world of comics ties together in this specific instance.)
Happy Holidays, folks. Hope you'll have as much to look forward to in 2024 as I do.
