For 78 years the mystery of the disappearance of Flight 19 and the Navy's search and rescue plane remains unsolved and created the legend of the Bermuda Triangle and perhaps one day they'll be found.
We know that the search plane, a Martin Mariner, so notorious for gas leaks that they were nicknamed "flying gas tanks" blew up in mid-flight, and debris was spotted by a rescue ship, who's crew also spotted the plane exploding, but due to the foul weather, they were unable to recover anything
As for Flight 19's remains, they're probably in the same place as the remains of the USS Cyclops, USS Proteus, and USS Nereus; somewhere within the Bermuda Triangle, or perhaps in Equestria, as seen in my story "Bermuda Beginnings"
What's the whole story?
