Just updating...
I finished my string quartet project, and while I did begin to sketch a second, (which had popped into my head while I was writing the first), I should also go back to writing my next story very soon.
And tbh, my next tale will be a bit of a letdown, if you are looking for excitement, such as buildings exploding or thrilling car chases. Those kinds of stories, while fun to read, are not my usual cup of tea. As I have often stated to others, my tales tend more to being character studies, rather than action\adventure fics.
I've been tossing about which tale i might start, and I thought about a story regarding what I would do if I were thrust into Equestria. Being a classical musician and composer, I feel that that might be a good starting point. After all, the ponies would not have been exposed to Human music, right? (Or at least in my headcanon.)
I feel that I will tell the story in first person, giving it a sort of self-insert feel, if not me personally. The Human MC would be me, but not me, either. I guess that I am exploring what i would do if I were there in that magical land of pastel ponies...
I'll keep you all up to date once things start rolling onward...

Which, being retired, I can do. I just have to balance both music and my prose, as both are an outlet of my creative nature. With my music, I tend to follow old paths, disdaining the newer types of threads that so called "Classical" music now goes by. I am a firm believer in Rachmaninoff's self-comment: "I care not for the new paths; The old ones take me where i wish to go." Of course, I am living in the twenty-first century, and thus the newer types, and styles, do have an influence with my music...
Your words do have some encouragement for me, however, and are much appreciated. My tales may have a more cerebral bent, but a tale worth telling as still a tale worth writing and putting it out there for others, just like my music that I write. I don't care whether they are archaic; music is still music, and a story is still a tale.
