Magic and Unity in the works

Magic and Unity, the successor/rewrite to Love and Magic is finally in the works. I've written the Prologue, but have yet to actually start writing the first chapter. Over the past year, I've been thoroughly working on the in and outs of the story to make sure it turns out to be the best it can be. As I've stated in a Blog Post before, the story will be split into 5 Phases, each containing a single main story and several mini stories that take place within the canon of the main story. The first main story, which I refer to as Sagas, will be called Friendship, Love, and Magic. For the most part, I have the entirety of Friendship, Love, and Magic planned out. Now it just needs to be written.

Before I start writing, I would like to introduce the main characters of the story.

Aurora Borealis

Gender: Female
Special Talent: Casting Spells and Studying Magic
Occupation: Student of Princess Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns
Personality: Aurora Borealis is quiet most of the time. She rarely socializes with anypony that isn’t part of her rather small friend group. But to those who know her and consider her a friend, she is very sociable.
Goal: To learn all she can about the Magic in Equestria
Flaw: Aurora is very asocial to a fault. She does not work very well with others. She believes that she’s better than most others and as such, believes she works better alone. She’s often quite apathetic to the needs and problems of others.
Synopsis: Aurora Borealis is the Number One student at Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns. She has been regarded to be even more talented than Twilight, though she lacks the superior judgment possessed by Twilight. As a young filly, she was enrolled in Celestia’s Magic School as soon as her parents realized her latent talent. Princess Celestia has always taken a liking to Aurora, but believed her asocial nature kept her from truly living up to her full potential.
Fun Fact: Aurora has Heterochromia. Her right eye is aquamarine and her left eye is purple.

Blossom Night

Gender: Female
Special Talent: Earth Pony Magic and Growing/Harvesting Crops
Occupation: Owns a Berry Farm in Ponyville
Personality: Blossom Night is quite hot headed. She always puts on a tough persona. She tries to act tough at all times and show no sign of weakness. She values honesty and will speak the truth even at the expense of other ponies’ feelings.
Goal: To keep her family’s tradition alive.
Flaw: Blossom Night is hot headed. She typically will intentionally hurt the feelings of others in order to get the truth through. Violence is a first resort to her. She will accuse first and ask questions later.
Synopsis: Blossom Night lived with her family in a farm not too far east from the White Tail Woods. When she was a filly, bandits broke into their house and killed her family, leaving her as the lone survivor. She was able to fight against and kill the attackers, but by the time help arrived, it was too late and her family was gone. This event turned her into a bitter pony who often sees the worst in everypony. She regularly keeps to herself and tends to her farm or sells jars of jelly in the Marketplace.
Fun Fact: Blossom Night is amazing at baking pies with her berries.

Zephyr Spark

Gender: Female
Special Talent: Flying and Using Pegasus Magic
Occupation: Weather Control in Ponyville
Personality: Zephyr Spark is quite an optimistic and playful young mare. She’s pretty ditzy, immature, and naive; but she tries her best to be helpful to her friends and have fun.
Goal: To be considered useful and successful by others.
Flaw: Zephyr is a bit naive. She has quite low self esteem and almost breaks down when she’s given disapproval by others.
Synopsis: Zephyr Spark is an incredibly talented pegasus pony. While growing up, she was typically scolded and mocked by her mother while her sister got all the love and praise. Her mother has always been disappointed in her and believed she would never amount to much. As the daughter of the owner of the Weather Factory, she has always had the stress of having to live up to her family’s name. She’s currently locked in a bitter rivalry with Rainbow Dash. Despite their rivalry, Zephyr has always admired Rainbow Dash.
Fun Fact: Zephyr has a tremendous appetite. She can eat inordinate amounts of food without getting full.

I've put a lot of thought into the stories and character arcs these characters will go through during the story. I look forward to the future of Magic and Unity. And I hope it will be a story that at least a few people can enjoy. I don't know when the first few chapters will be out or even when I'll write them. But I will try to get it out as soon as I can. I'm so proud of the ideas I have put into this story and cannot wait to share it.
