Update On Seen and Unseen Species + CMC Clopfic Series + One Shots · 7:17pm Aug 2nd, 2023
Hey everybody! I wanted to update you guys regarding what I discussed in my last blog. Including the stories that I'm currently working on and will be bringing back. In my last blog, I talked about how I would be bringing species that should've been seen more and ones that should have been seen period in my stories. I also put the deities of those species to show what kinds will be in them even if they were seen plenty of times before. Mainly of those in Greek, Norse, and even Korean mythology. I have about twelve of them done and just have three left on the table before I complete them, though I will go back to do some edits cause I feel like I could simplify and redo some parts and help them make more sense. Once I do this, I'll be refocusing on my little mini-series and one-shots.
Regarding the mini-series I currently have going on - Nocturnal Bats and Green-Eyed Angels - I am leaning on the fence about rewriting that first story of the Cutie Mark Crusader Clop Series as a whole. I did mention I was going to do some minor edits for it but as I was looking over it I feel like it wasn't enough. I think made more of a mess of the story itself, which is why I'm leaning toward rewriting it. I don't think it has any big problems, but I feel that I made it overly detailed - something I'm prone to do - much to my embarrassment. I'll take some more time to think it over before coming to a decision, but a rewrite is what I'm leaning towards.
Now, onto the One-Shots. Regarding the ones for my Yaseikōya Series, I am slowly beginning to get a better feel of how I should write them. I'm still having trouble starting the first but I know I'll get a breakthrough eventually and once I do I'll be able to get back to the second one and so on. As for the one I currently have out now - The Grime Behind The Diamond - I am going to be taking that one down. Originally, I wrote to give me a bit of practice to create a single-chapter story and it devolved into something others do not need to see. I will also be rewriting that one because I did want to have my own story about Diamond Dogs out there. Except it will be on much lighter levels.
That's what I have to say for the time being. I'll give more updates on how progress is going with this. I understand some may be upset with me doing this regarding my stories, but this is what I've decided right now. I want to make something I can be proud of and is a reflection of me as a writer and not something that's just ranting about themes rather than a story. Something I'm sure others can agree on. Until the next blog, I have three more species, a potential rewrite, and a story take-down to do - the last one being the first task.
