Ideas for “Friendship is Magic” Manga by mauroz (Alternate)

(incomplete/WIP, more to come, changes can be made)

Plots Points:
- This will be the exact same story as the manga, but it will be mostly from Spike's POV instead.
- Spike will have a journal that he writes in every night in this version of the story.

Story Summary:
Spike is the type of character who will go to great lengths to be helpful. Recently however, he started to notice that when he spends time with his family or friends, it's not always a good experience. It seems like some of them enjoy ruining his day. At first, he thinks it's not a big deal and tries to forget about it. That becomes increasingly difficult for him to do because of how often he gets pushed around by his family and friends. Even so, he still wants to help them out. He puts on a facade to contain and hide the emotional pain they cause him. He eventually starts to believe in the idea that if they honestly care about him, they would eventually see on their own that they're harming him. Unfortunately, the mistreatment continues, and his emotional pain keeps getting worse. A part of him still wants to help them but another part of him questions if he should help than at all. He is struggling to convince himself that he loves them, and they love him, but his emotional grip is slipping. Spike's last thread of love and care that bonded him with everyone else finally snaps. leaving him feeling empty and betrayed. Spike decides to run away.

At this point, the story can go in 1 of multiple directions. This list of ideas for the story is sorted from least negative outcome(A) to most negative outcome(D).

A) "Empathy" - Spike walks aimlessly worrying about what he needs to do next. He's got nowhere to go; he's lost and alone. Spike runs into another runaway around his age named Thorax. The 2 of them get acquainted. A short time later, the 2 of them meet another runaway, a girl who's only a year or 2 older than them named Gabriella (Gabby). The 3 of them share their reasons for running away from home. Thorax did not like how selfish his community was by hurting others for personal gain. Gabby did not like how unwilling her community members felt like much were at developing any kind of bond with someone else. Spike didn’t like how his former friends and family made him feel like a lifeform who doesn’t matter and their love was fake.

B) "Blank" - Spike makes a suicide attempt by jumping off a bridge into the river. However, he survives and wakes up a few miles downstream. Spike is suffering from amnesia because of a head injury coupled with being without oxygen for a minute or 2 underwater. He doesn't know where he is, he can't remember anyone's face or name and worst of all, he can't even remember his own name.

C) "Betrayal" - Spike willingly joins The Carriers of Sin.

D) "Ultimate" - Spike has been missing for 3 - 4 years. Some wonder if he is still alive, some consider him dead. All of that uncertainty comes to an end because Spike returns home. However, it is not a happy reunion, far from it. This is about vengeance. He attacks them and at first, they don’t want to fight back but eventually they come to the conclusion that in order to prevent innocent people from being hurt they have to subdue him because he’s fighting like a wild animal, recklessly firing combat style magic at them and causing so much collateral damage. He puts up one hell of a fight 6 vs 1 but eventually Twilight and the others gain the upper hand and bring him down to try and apologize to him, but their apologies fall on deaf ears. Seeing him so angry was heart-wrenching and emotionally traumatizing to them, especially Rainbow Dash and Twilight. They were already hating themselves but now they feel disgusted with themselves more than ever. Then the worst happens, Spike reveals he was holding back this whole time. He transforms in front of everyone showing that he learned how to control his maximum power and even learned a few extra spells of arcane magic. Spike becomes their greatest enemy.
