"A Mare's Journey" has been canceled... here's why..

Not gonna lie, I've been in denial with this series ever since the second chapter, constantly trying to ignore what I truly felt about this series. It's not that it's bad, but when I compare it to my story on Ao3, i feel like there so much more heart put into that one. In fact, I feel like ever since the first chapter, I've been completely clueless on what I wanted to do with it's concept. Quite literally the only reason I went along with it was the positive reception it got, when in reality, that's not at all how I wanted this series to start. From the first chapter to the sixth, I've only been making this story up as I go. While I do have some plans for the future, with the setup the beginning had, I just couldn't figure out what to do. That's why Shining Armor suddenly appeared out of nowhere In chapter 5, as well the introduction of the draconques race was introduced. I wrote myself Into a complete corner in chapter 6, and had to make this story alot shorter because of the way I started it.

I'm sorry for those who truly wanted this to finish, but I just don't want to do this anymore. I felt absolutely nothing while publishing these recent chapters. Not even as much as proud, just nothing. It'll still be up though for those who want to read it. You have my permission to continue or reboot it if you'd like, I don't really care.

Will I still be writing? Yes. However, this time, I'm going to write the original idea for this series, which is way better than this story. I've already began writing it, but I need to make sure that it's absolutely perfect this time. No BS or anything, just good writing for people to enjoy and something that I genuinely feel proud of.

For those who wanted to know what would happen, here it is.

1. Shining Armor and Twilight would find Spike, to which Twilight and Spike have a huge fight over Trixie's dumbass "philosophy" it would end in Spike and Twilight hugging it out.

2. Trixie would find them and try to attack them, but Celestia and her student, Starlight would save her and lock Trixie in the dungeon in Canterlot.

3. Celestia would bring Twilight and Spike back to Canterlot and teach her magic, despite her still having PTSD over the incident. She also goes around Canterlot and meets the mane 6, which makes her genuinely happy.

4. Trixie would eventually break out of the dungeon and try to attack Twilight once again. This time, instead of being scared, Twilight would use her magic, finally overcoming her fear once and for all.

So yeah, once again, sorry for those who were invested in this. I just don't have the passion, nor motivation to write more of it. I promise that the next story I write will be much better. But please give me time, it's gonna take a while to properly, and I mean,Properly, plan out the entire story, and each character's arcs, as well as the lore, world building, and more.
