    Just some thoughts

Hey there everyone. Thanks again for the patience. It's a pretty busy time of the year for me with all the planning vacation trips and work events, so I'll try to get the next chapter out as soon as I find the time and hammer down how exactly it's going to advance.

    Update and Appreciation

Thanks for the favs and nice words everyone! I'm writing this as a blog post because I want the story to be as it is with as few author's notes and interruptions as possible. I'm working on this in my free time (not all my free time, just when I have an idea and the urge to write), so chapters may take a bit to come out.

Hey there everyone. Thanks again for the patience. It's a pretty busy time of the year for me with all the planning vacation trips and work events, so I'll try to get the next chapter out as soon as I find the time and hammer down how exactly it's going to advance.
Saw the new episode this morning and I gotta say, I liked it a lot. I guess I have some bias with Rainbow being the best and all, but I think it really showed the best of her in this episode. I think most people just assume she's only the cocky athlete who only has her own goals in mind, but I liked the fact that they compared her to that image (Lightning Dust portrayed the extreme) and again showed just how strong her loyalty is, to her friends, the other recruits, and to her own values. My fav of the season, though I'm sure not everyone agrees.
As for "Here and Gone," I feel the need to explain why I wanted to write this. I'm currently working in Japan as an English teacher, and being here was a shock in terms of language barriers. I think back now to all the people I heard say things like "they can't even speak English!" or better yet, "if they come to this country, they better know English," and I want to slap those people. I've been here for six months, putting honest to god effort into learning Japanese, and I still can't speak very well or understand all the everyday conversation. And for the record, learning English sucks. I can't begin to explain all the dumb expressions we use and messed up grammar that makes things twice as confusing as it should be. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's impossible or that English is an awful language or anything, just learning it must  be a pain. But I'm getting off topic.
I am taken aback by how children are born with no reference to good and bad, bright and dark, etc. (I believe and agree with many of the principles of Taoism, just for the record) and I can only imagine that all these things are learned until the standards comply with those expressed in society and nature. So in short, I had a desire to write about the development and growth from what is effectively a "rebirth" to recovery, and how different it might be for a young adult in that situation. I guess I can label it as a bit of an experimental story, and I'm trying to push my own writing skills a bit.
Now you know where the idea came from. Thanks for reading, and if you have any comments (positive, negative, nudey pics (^_-), etc) please review, comment or pm me. Have a great Holiday and New Years season everyone!
