Rules to help you write stories.

Hey everyone, here are the rules of writing that I’ve made to make sure my writing is good, if you’d like to add a rule, leave me a reply and I’ll add it.

The Rules of writing

• Rule #1 Don’t forget your periods, never leave a single sentence alone. Make at least 3 sentences, or at the most, 5, to make a paragraph.

• Rule #2 check your spelling, grammar, and capitalization.

• Rule #3 use ‘this’ in italics to show what the person is thinking. Use “this” to show someone is saying something.

• Rule #4 make sure what you wrote makes sense. what you wrote should make sense to others as well as yourself. It's all too easy to get caught up in creating your own world and forget that others don't actually know how it functions, which can make the story really hard to follow from an outsider's perspective.

• Rule #5 never have two different characters say something in the same paragraph.

• Rule #6 make sure not to type run-on sentences, and make sure not to leave sentences that could have been combined into one with a comma.
