Looks like I'm getting a warm welcome, already! The prelude chapter of The Scarecrow and the Rook has been a collection of victories in many small ways. Also, having five favorites already feels like an accomplishment in itself. Can't say I pulled this story out of the air, but it sure felt like a risk to make it my first story on this site. All that's left is to keep going until it's done, and then likely move on to the next one.
