Well, I hope you're all enjoying season 4. From what we've got so far, it looks like it's going to be one of the better seasons. The opening was rock solid, the initial episodes were entertaining, and while the CMC episode was very predictable, it still had a charm to it that still made it enjoyable.

I've decided to start working on the next chapter. The important part of the previous chapter is that it was grating at times, and I believe I can alleviate that a bit by tweaking the dialog and reactions. However, the overall ideas that are important to the next chapter are there, which means there's nothing preventing me from writing what's next.

Okay, now that I'm refreshed, I think I'm ready to elaborate on this a bit. I literally just got home from a long trip to visit family for Thanksgiving and didn't have the energy to write a lengthy blog post.

So, from the little I've heard, the latest chapter had a bit of a problem: Pinkie Pie made it very difficult to read. This isn't exactly what I had in mind when I wrote Pinkie Pie, so naturally it doesn't make much sense to keep the chapter around the way it is.

Well, in all honesty, I was planning on releasing the chapter before the Season 4 premiere. Heck, I could even still do it if I wanted to. However, I've decided to delay it until next week for two reasons:

1) While I could technically finish all the revisions in the next 2 days, it would be a bit of a crunch. Leaving the weekend open will allow me to finish revisions at a much more relaxed pace, as well as read through the finished chapter multiple times to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I was actually planning on having this chapter finished this week. Heck, I don't even have an excuse, seeing how well the writing has been going.

I have the ending of the chapter all planned out; I just haven't written it yet. Will probably get that done this weekend. That will leave the beginning of next week for revisions, and then a release just a few days before Season 4 airs. I said I'd get it out before season 4. I never said how long before. =P

I'll try to get back on track with the whole "weekly" thing once this next chapter is out. For now, I'll just remove the word from the title.

Work on the chapter is going really well. I have literally removed every last word that I had previously written, and rewrote the whole thing from scratch. I only have two more scenes left before it's done. It looks like it's going to be a normal-sized chapter after all. (Well, normal for HL:E at least)
