Just ripping the band-aid off hard and fast.

I had fun with the story at first, but as I went along it slowly dawned on me that I had begun to write myself into a corner and limit the world far too greatly. The plot of 'everything being underground' seemed cool and unique, until it was made apparent that as an idea it would do nothing except DECREASE the amount of things I could do with the world.
