When you first discovered My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, at what exact point or moment in the series did you realize that this was no ordinary kid's show?

I don't see what's wrong at all with my new story, Hybrid Rainbow... The writing's good, the plot's concise so far, so why does it have a 50-50 thumb-up/thumb-down ratio? I need feedback to help explain this apparent anomaly!

I regret to inform all of you that, at approximately 6:00 PM Central Time, my beloved Guinea Pig, Buck - who had suffered from chronic Kennel Cough, has died. He was a great Guinea Pig - always wanting to cuddle, always resting his head on my pillow as I relaxed in my bed... I did my very best to help him recover, but even after trying at least four different kinds of medication, he still suffered sinus issues, though he never let his disease keep him from showing his affection.
