Yeah, I think I need to change the rating after writing a preening scene that involves Verdigris, Honey and Grass, which Twilight overhears and seriously misinterprets. Funny? Probably. A little bit too much? Maybe. Better do it before the mod jumps on me with all four hooves? Oh, definitely.
The next chapter should finish the Canterlot scenes, and then back to Oceanside, where things haven't exactly settled down.

I should have done so earlier, but thanks very much to every one of you that favorited my story. It's hard to judge your own work. I must be doing something right.

Well, not truly epic, more one step along the way to everypony getting an idea just what Verdigris will be like once he reaches what Celestia referred to as the Threshold. What that really means - I haven't thought about it, as I don't intend to go that far.
But it's worth speculating about, ain't it?

We're done with fights, for the moment. Time for a little Machiavellian work on Verdigris' part, because he's tired of the fighting. Next up: Politics, the dirtiest game ever, thanks to the PACs and SIGs.

Some of you have commented on that at least once. I know Verdigris has that potential, and I'm working to keep that from happening, mostly by his learning things about himself along the way that he doesn't and won't like. Such as in Chapter 4.
After all, to paraphrase Stan Lee, "With power comes responsibility." Whatever its level.
