Ah yes; the upload schedule. A truly wonderful thing. It gives fans a certain hope of an upload on a certain date, but at the same time, it can cause a ton of stress on the writer so they can hit the deadline. If the upload schedule is too long in between releases, that can outright kill a story. However, if it is too frequent, it could burn out the writer, eventually leading to the abandonment of stories.
