It would involve the tale of King Sombra's Court Sorcerer: the details I have in my head right now.
1: The Sorcerer is found by King Sombra after the Sorcerer becomes Immortal at the cost of his memories and all their ties. No name, no emotional ties, no family. This ritual allowed for the Sorcerer, a unicorn, to have power just below that of an Alicorn but with little self control shadowy wisps floating off of him.
