"No time for goodbye," he said as he faded away. "Don't put your life in someone's hands; they're bound to steal it away. Don't hide your mistakes, 'cause they'll find you, burn you."

Well that's a bust · 6:32am Jun 11th, 2012

So you know that story I was going to write? Yeah, it's 593 words. I can't get it submitted because it's too small. There's no way for me to flesh it out to 1000 words, so what am I supposed to do with it?

I am at a loss...

Alright, so 2 minutes after I wrote that I decided I'll just hold onto it. When I come across another idea for comedy, I'll put the two stories together and it'll be done.

And so, our story ends, as all stories do -blah blah blah Fallout reference and all that.

You know those first few chapters I thought were so bad? I can't think of anything wrong with them. I fixed a few grammar and tense issues but that's it.

The end · 2:38am Jun 11th, 2012

Well, that's the story folks. All I have left to do is redo the first few chapters and I'll switch that little nugget at the bottom of the chapter list to 'Complete.' Onwards to discoveries!

Do not write immediately after waking up. Brain hasn't turned on yet.
Writing removes the 'reader naivete' as I call it. I can now spot errors in other works easier than before (kinda sucks too)

Near completion observations · 2:40am Jun 10th, 2012

So here I am, with the final scenes go to, and I'm at a bit of a loss.

I've got a lot of information being thrown around and I'm worried that I won't be able to fill them all in. It looks like the resolution state of writing is the most complicated part.

Holy crap guys. It's amazing what you think up when you are trying to sleep. Alright, here goes.

'Equestian Life' now has a completed plot line. I have an outline and everything! I have just one plot-hole to deal with and its all set.

Good news, unless it isn't to you. In that case, let me know.

I have worked out nearly all of the plot to the story! I only have a few holes to fill. I also came up with another story idea, but it's extremely basic right now. By the time 'Equestrian Life' is done, I should have everything worked out for the next.

Initial observations · 3:24am Jun 8th, 2012

Alright, I've got a few chapters done and I know a bit more about what I have to do. I really need to work on showing emotions when characters talk. I haven't worked on descriptions yet, since I have everything looking the same as the show. Getting into the characters is also being difficult. Coming up with dialogue for characters that have an established personality gets confusing. How are you supposed to know what a character might say in any given situation? I don't know if I'll get a knack

Story time · 7:55pm Jun 6th, 2012

Alright, so I've decided the only way I'll get good enough at writing is to do it. This'll be an experiment...well not really. So here's the scoop: I've got a bunch of stories I want to write but I'm afraid to do something wrong. This little story will hopefully point out any problems I have with writing.
