Since I've yet to see any other blog posts on this just yet (and oh yes, I know they're coming), I thought I'd record my reaction here first...

Well... yeah.

So, I have to hand it to M.A. Larson for writing an excellent episode. For 22 minutes they managed to squeeze in 6 songs plus a reprise, which will keep the music makers in our fandom happy for several months during the hiatus. And I really did like the songs!

For me, 2012 was definitely year of the Pony. So as I reflect on the last 12 months I want to share how MLP changed me.

* I started eating better and exercising. I've lost about 20lbs since starting to watch MLP.

* I have a girlfriend now, first since my divorce, who I met through our shared interest in MLP.

* I reignited old friendships with people with whom I'd had no contact in over a decade.

* I got to meet some amazing people I am certain I never would have met without MLP.

Quick first-time blog post...

So, I feel incredibly lucky and definitely a little validated that my story was featured on EQD today. But there is something odd that I'm noticing: How is it possible that it could have more "favorites" than "thumbs ups?" Is that normal, or should I go see a doctor?

Anyway, it looks like people do at least find it compelling enough to follow, even if some don't particularly like it, I guess. :)
