Anyone else notice how stories keep popping up based on the premise that a human goings to some convention cosplaying as some fictional character and then somehow that human ends up in equestria as that character? I see them everyone now and then and for the life of me I still don't understand why people are writing them. I've never read one, they never captured my interest. Its just strange to me to see people still writing stories with the same premise over and over.

Protip: Have cover art. Stories with cover art are more likely to be noticed. Suggestions include a screenshot from the show, some art you made yourself if you've got the skill, or art made by someone else, with permission of course. (Don't steal peoples art, seriously)

Protip: Don't ask grand questions (who will live, will they survive, etc) They're cliché. Don't use them
Protip: Don't summarize your prologue/first chapter, it wastes the reader's time
Protip: Describe the world or the events leading up to the prologue/first chapter. If someones interested, they'll read your story.
Protip: Make your summary/description as professional as possible. Correct misspelled words, use good grammar, etc.
