I basically posted... oh about nothing for somewhere around a month due to a videogame induced hiatus. I'm happy to inform everyone that I am once more employed, and therefore once more writing. (I usually write after work but before my meds wear off)

Alright, so in Empty Pages I have a little writers block. I have plenty of ideas, but they are too nebulous to put down. So I'm writing this to help pin my options down, and get done community input. Without further ado:

Spike: Spike isn't ready yet to take a major role in Twilight's life. He is going to keep showing up here and there though, mid chapter. I could do the chapter where Spike and Twilight remeet.

Right now I'm having a plot complexity perception problem. Empty Pages sounds like a story with a simple plot. Twilight is forgetful! Oh no! Watch her be silly! This was literally all the plot I had originally intended to put into it. Yet a very real and complex sitcom-like plot is slowly growing around it, largely driven by my own desire for internal consistency. I have no problem getting readers for empty pages because it doesn't look like a deep read, and then the readers get sucked in

There's a huge problem with writing mentally ill characters. Specifically writing from their perspective. To a mentally ill person (Even to a normal person) there are parts of the world that just don't make sense. The problem is that in written works it takes far fewer holes to shatter suspension of disbelief that it takes in the real world. There are actual, real, events that happen, that are too contrived for fiction. They're really common, and they're the events that are the most bewildering

Hi, this is basically my first blog post. I'm not generally into this sort of social media, and I'm not likely to post many of these. I'm much more fond of IRC and other more conversationally paced media.
