I should have chapter 12 of Irony's Story out in a day or two. It is ready. Also, I have started chapter 13.

Recently it has come to my attention that people can be assholes. In this case not necessarily to me. And don't get me wrong, this isn't a surprise, either.

The point I'm trying to get at is that if you only listen to jerks it will get you down. If you are doing something to make others happy, unless they are people you truly care about, you are doing it for the wrong reasons.

I'm specifically talking about writing/posting stories here on fimfiction today.

So this last week I traveled back to my hometown to go to my grandfather's memorial service. He passed away in January, but this was a good chance for everyone to get together and say our final goodbyes. There was a lot of reminiscing, and it was really good to share stories about him with everyone.

After the memorial I drove his old car, which I bought from his estate, back home (about 1200 miles). Now I'm back at work.

I finally am able to get some feedback on my story, and I think it will be helpful.

I just thought I would take a moment to say that I have made a commitment to this story and myself. I will finish it. And my goal is to post fairly regular updates to it.

I can only hope that those who read it enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it.

I finally have more than 30,000 words for my five score side story, and hope to have the first seven chapters posted within a few days! Woohoo!

I am so freaking excited!

I've got 20,000 words so far, only 10,000 more needed for minimum post. Then we'll see if anyone finds it interesting.
