Time to Retire · 5:53am May 18th, 2016
This announcement has been some time coming now, but I think now I should finally be the one to speak on the matter.
I am retiring from FiMFiction.
This announcement has been some time coming now, but I think now I should finally be the one to speak on the matter.
I am retiring from FiMFiction.
Greeting, fellow bronies and gathered friends! I have some news for you that you might want to hear. Most of it regards Six Ways, some of it regards My Daughter, and some of it regards little bumps in the road I have encountered when uploading stories.
Ever since I posted my first story on this website, I've received multiple requests to do a follow-up to the story. Being that My Daughter was originally conceived as a one-shot story, something to introduce me to FiMFiction, I first shrugged off these requests. But the requests just kept building up and up and up....
Hm...maybe I should give these people what they deserve....
So, while I busy myself with revising the chapters in Six Ways: Duty, I also have plans to put some of my other pony-related work right here on FiMFiction! This will include mostly vignettes, short stories, poems--things of that nature.
I also plan on creating a new avatar for myself around here. Of course, it's gonna tie in MLP and Bionicle...cause if you know me, you know Bionicle is my favorite "children's" series next to MLP. And, of course, Six Ways.
Well, after much contemplating and figuring out what to do with my writings, I've decided to give you guys some good news: Six Ways, Part 2 (Duty) is a-go!
Yep, I'm doing it! Rejoice, my Brony fans! Rejoice, Gathered Friends!
Oh yeah...and Bionicle has a new generation on its hands. Boy...that will be awkward for younger people just now settling into Six Ways. I uh...hope you guys don't get all...
"Why isn't it on Okoto?!?!!!!"
"Why is Makuta not deaadd?!"
Okay--so about a year ago, I started writing a story called "Six Ways": a crossover between MLP and Bionicle. Around January I started uploading it, and around April I finished Part 1. I originally had plans to split the story up into a trilogy, but after awhile, I figured, "Well, not that many people seem to be paying attention to it--and it's a bit passe for me to write fanfictions at this point in my career." As a result, I put the story on hold. At least--it seems to be on hold.
It's recently come to my attention that the chapters in Six Ways are simply too long--at least as opposed to what Internet users are used to reading. As a result, I am going to split Six Ways' chapters into--
-drumroll-
--even more chapters! Hopefully this will draw in new readers and make it easier for everybody to grasp the story one bit at a time.
...then please--spread the word!
