I have something in the works that I'm hoping people will like. It's quite the ambitious project but I want to get something big out.

It won't be anything really special, and most may find the main character to be too overpowered or otherwise not like him. I'm hoping, however, there will be those that like the story regardless.

Motivation is low and procrastination is high. That's the main reason why nothing on my profile has updated in a while, I'm afraid.

I keep trying to come back to the stories I have but the ideas don't appeal to me much anymore. In combination with the lack of free time I have that I feel is better spent playing games and relaxing, I doubt those stories will update anytime soon.

This blog post is just to remind people that We are not alone is not dead. Instead, it is undergoing a rewrite. I like this story and the direction I had it going in, but I don't like the characters and the backstory I had involved.

The story's idea, premise, etc will stay the same, but the characters, the prologue, the pacing, the backstory, everything else will change. I don't want this story to be a self-insert OC fest. I want it to be something I and those that read it, will enjoy.

Cancelled. We are not alone is cancelled. I'm unable to continue the story and will likely never finish it. I just do not have the motivation for it.

One day, maybe, the story will undergo a heavy re-write. For now, it stays, abandoned, a memory. The first story I ever started, and the first I ever failed.

This story is a self-insert. I can't deny that fact. However, I'm considering changing that fact.
Self-inserts are a bad idea for any writer. No one likes them, it's a fact despite my confusion as to why.

It's not just that that makes me consider changing the character out for another, it's flexibility and experimentation. This story is my first ever story on FIMFic and I want to experiment with it, see what works and all that. I can't do that with the limitations of a self-insert.
