On this day, my 28th birthday
I stop and think about the ways
I've grown and changed, the paths I've taken
The dreams I've had, the mistakes I've shaken

I wish that I could freeze this moment
Hold on to youth, avoid the foment
Of aging, wrinkles, and grey hair
But alas, I know it's all out there

So instead, I'll embrace each year
