I just understood why it was so hard to make a clear picture of what even goes on in the book from the start.

I need a few preliminary steps, so pardon me for being too wordy.

Let's look at real life and daily routines. Entering the lift (or is it elevator in your country?) you quickly check if it arrived. Crossing roads is 'look around, then do it once again'. Buying food, some likely will check expiration dates.

Overall, it's imperfect. For the first three chapters I simply did not know in the slightest how the plot will unfold. It shows. I just tried to see and show some semi-related pictures. These chapters are later on somewhat tied to the plot, but actual plot starts from chapter 4, and, thankfully, after that I never lose it.

There are holes. Things that, should I happen to have more battery in me, are actually in need to be spoken out and shown rather than noted in passing.
