So, I did say that I expected Chapter 7 to be up by the end of March.
Well, guess what?
I stuck to my words. For the first time since I started writing this story.

I'm exhausted from all the last minute checks and proofreadings and whatnot, so I think I'll have to push back my next 'Writing of:' blog entry. Not by much, I expect to be able to post one by tomorrow. Also, I need to study my APs and do my school break assignments.

Okay, so I just did a word count on chapter 7 of SatS, and I got 11,836 words. Chapter 6 was 10,069 words, and that alone was long enough.

Am I having problems with controlling the length of my chapters? Definitely.
Are that many words necessary for the story? I don't know. Probably not.

I know I did promise that I'd lengthen each chapter after chapter 5, but I did not plan them to be this long.

As for why I chose that particular picture, there are two reasons:
1) I am an enthusiast of warplanes, especially WW2-era planes. The Vought F4U Corsair, the one shown in the picture, is one of my favorites; it is considered to be one of the best fighters the US Navy had at the time.
