Sorry for the delay on this one, had some stuff come up but I finally found time to finish it. This one’s got a mix of slice of life and lore stuff, and some of it will play a larger role in the story itself going forward.

So here’s an unorthodox idea: New Horizons has a few very long chapters, and right now my plan is to break up those long (10,000 word+) chapters into smaller chunks. So you’re going to wind up getting a big burst of new chapters in one day, but they won’t really be new. Just existing stuff that’s broken up into smaller pieces. So why am I doing this? I decided to go in and completely refresh the pointy ponies I used to represent the characters in my stories. A lot of them were outdated and were long overdue for a big refresh. As I write and develop my stories I have a tendency to write up a fair amount of documentation on the development process as a whole, the vast majority of which never gets seen. So I figured that sharing little snippets of that documentation every once in a while would be a productive way of getting it out there.

Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of "New Horizons" have been an interesting progression so far. It started as an entry that capped off at about 10,500 words and dealt with two perspectives that sort of complimented each other. Currently it's nearly doubled that and the two perspectives were split into complimentary entries. Star Struck Part 1 is "done" but part 2 still has some big rewrites left to make. So I had originally planned to edit and release Chapter 2 on Sunday, however while editing I decided that the chapter was lacking and that a few additional scenes would help flesh it out a little more. Needless to say, it will not be ready to post by Sunday. It’s currently sitting at nearly 12,700 words and there’s still a lot more to write and revise.
