The rest of "New Horizon" goes up tomorrow morning.

I promise, it's safe for work.
Work's progressing well on the story. It'll definitely be done by the end of the month, barring an edit or two.
Okay, good news? I've pretty much decided to try and finish up "New Horizon" before this month is up.
Bad news? Getting work done on it or "A Shimmering New Year" is looking unlikely. Mandatory overtime's been called for this Sunday, I have a dentist appointment on Wednesday, and next Saturday I'm going to a convention in the hopes of getting photos with Tara Strong and Karen Gillan.
Keep your fingers crossed, people. I'm not feeling optimistic.
Inspiration is striking hard with me on "New Horizon". I might - key word, might - be able to finish it before the end of this month.
Seriously, it's just two or three chunks of story away from being done, and whether or not those get written is entirely dependent upon my muse, but it's a very real possibility.
Still gonna try and work on "A Shimmering New Year", of course, but you know creative energies. They're fickle.
I actually got to write today! Yay!
A tiny bit more is done with "New Horizon", and I'm optimistic that it'll be finished next month. But a small surprise came to me while I was writing it - a particular unicorn popped into my consciousness and told me to put her into the story. Won't say who, but I will say that I've been hoping for a chance to have her and Quiver interact for a while. The way I write her, they've got a couple things in common.
...but hey, #201 is just as good.
The second chapter for "New Horizon" is up and online. Now, I've got most of what will be the fourth chapter and epilogue done, bar some editing, but I still need to finish the third chapter before I can get everything out there. Got my fingers crossed that everything will get straightened out by the end of June.
Gotta say, I'll be happy when it's done. Then I'll be able to move on to other stories with Quiver Quill.
Writing has been delayed due to the posting of all the photos I took at BotCon 2016. I've got my fingers crossed that I'll have the second chapter of "New Horizon" done by the end of business hours on Wednesday, however, and be able to recommence work upon "A Shimmering New Year" by the end of this weekend.
BTW, does anyone want to see the BotCon photos? If anyone says yes, I shall update this journal with a link to the gallery. Be warned, there are many photos of toys.
Stuff happened over the weekend, and consequently, I wasn't able to get everything done that I'd hoped. That included, sadly, getting enough work done on "New Horizon" to justify releasing another chapter. And with my trip to BotCon this week, I won't be getting anything done with it for a while yet.
Fortunately, I've taken the first half of next week off work, so chances are better that I'll get it done then, but still, it's no fun when things don't go the way you hope they do.
Wow. March was really good for me.
- "Rainbow Rocks: Quiververse Remix" continues at a good pace. I got one chunk of it done at the start of the month, and finished another chunk tonight. It's right at the point in the original film where Twilight and Spike meet up with Sunset and the Rainbooms at Sugar Cube Corner, just before the party at CHS. Currently chunk #11 for the story so far, and with luck, I'll have it up to nineteen by year's end.
Well folks, there's a good chance that I'll have something new out before the end of next month. Maybe it'll be "A Shimmering New Year", but there's a better chance it'll be the next chapter for "New Horizon".
I'm working on both, of course, but still, next chapter for the latter is right on the verge. The verge!
Good news, folks - you're getting three previews this week. And that includes the one I've already posted.
The next preview for "A Shimmering New Year" will be posted here on Saturday. Along with it is coming a preview for "New Horizon", as it's just one view away from fifty and its prequel, "An Act of Random Kindness", is two away from four hundred views.
Complainers shall be ignored.
It's nowhere near ready for posting yet, but I've gotten a tiny bit more work done on the next chapter for "New Horizon". I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll have the whole thing done before the end of July.
For now, however, "Nightmare's End" and "A Shimmering New Year" take priority.
