Now to go feast on the flesh of the living...
Chapter Six is almost done. Wish I could be more joyful, but after someone ran off with my game consoles, I'm not in a cheerful mood.
Chapter should be up some time tomorrow.
Yes, I know it's been over a week since the chapter came out. I've been busy getting constant reminders that I am ruining people's lives because they're too damn lazy to pick up a phone and report they moved to Kansas or whatever, so things have been a tad chaotic.
I'm hoping to have the next chapter done by the end of Sunday. (Pacific Standard Time) I've pretty much given up on it ever being good, so hopefully it will be presentable enough to keep hope alive.
On the plus side, after this is finally over, the real story begins. Kinda. Sorta. It's complicated.
I have finally finished this chapter.
It will be up tomorrow.
And now I must get sleep.
Sleep is good.
Mostly because I've been working and re-working it in my head and on paper, trying to make it seem like less of a waste. Unfortunately, the fourth chapter is largely more plodding that probably should have been in the last chapter, but I can't skip it because it helps set up the fifth chapter, which is where things really begin to go into Crazy Land, which is really more of a barony. Plus, you know, there's work and all. Open Enrollment is here, people are calling to complain about everything,
Sorry it's taken so long since the last chapter. The next one is almost ready, and should be live by Sunday at the latest. Until then, I will leave you with a small, non-spoilery, out-of-context snippet from the next chapter:
She spun her chair back to Sunset, the mad gleaming of her eyes blazing through the lenses of her glasses. Sunset could not help but shudder slightly when faced with the insane glare. “Now take off your shoes.”
...I am going to Hell, aren't I?
First things first: don't expect updates this quickly. These first two chapters were just a freak occurrence. I am still writing every day, even if it is just a few words, but I can't promise immediate results or a set schedule.
Six days after the first went up, I am already about 75% done with the second. Just to pass the time, here's a rough draft preview:
Hello, all you folks out there. Yes, it is I, InsertAuthorHere, and I have returned...sort of.
So, the first new big story I start since Waning Moon blew up in my face is yet another age regression story, only now it's about that character I keep writing about, Sunset Shimmer. Remember when I was all about Celestia and Luna and Twilight? Those were good days. But enough reminiscing, let's get to why this story exists.
