Gonna be frank with you, chapter 8 isn't done. Reason being I finally plucked up the courage to face a minor plot hole in the chapter that had been staring me in the face for a while and had to redo some things. At least that's smoothed out now. This week I also hit a serious slump when it came to productivity. It's just how it goes with me, of course, with periods of lots followed by periods of little, back and forth, but I'm still a bit annoyed that it messed up my schedule.

Apologies for missing the Sunday deadline last week for chapter 7. I was very unsure about it, but I think it's good to go now. Same goes for chapter 8, more so because I simply didn't have a productive week from the 18th to the 24th. Oh well.

Let's make the release date of chapter 8 be the 7th of August, just so I have a chance to get back into gear properly.

Oh wow, how about that? Turns out I will be able to make this a regular thing.

Chapter 6 has been edited and is pretty much ready to be posted on Sunday (gotta keep the schedule consistent), while chapter 7 is now ready for editing, too! Right now I'm writing chapter 8. I know what I want to do with the chapter, so it should go about as quickly as the others have been.

At the rate I'm going I might be able to make this kind of blog post a regular thing, famous last words.

So, chapter 5 of Window Shopping is up, and chapter 6 is onto the editing stage. You can expect to see it either first thing next week or sometime later on, but things are chugging along nicely right now. As far as literary skills go, I've taken to adding in a quick little blurb at the very beginning of each chapter, to remind me of what that chapter needs to get done.

Apologies for no update on Window Shopping recently. I've been focusing on other things like my artwork, and mainly other story ideas that I've been toying with. One involves Changelings and another involves Haycartes, both are set to be short and description-heavy, unlike my other stuff. Not that I don't write plenty of description already, but these will be stories with almost no dialogue, is what I mean. It's proving a fun experiment so far.
