For those curious, this story is about Cheerilee having to make a decision during an emergency that affects the life of one of her students, and dealing with the reaction of everpony afterwards. How others read into our decisions -- even if they are arbitrary -- can sometimes affect us in ways we can't imagine at the time.

Whew... it's been a long time. The irony in the first line of the chapter is just the icing on that cake XD

Where we last left off Cheerilee was depressed because her entire life is falling apart. With the new chapter being titled "Anathema?" we can only the question mark at the end brings some question in her mind, because so far she is feeling screwed.

Added chapter "Starlight" to Gut instinct.

So far, Cheerilee's returned home after a long (and terrible) day of watching the foals on a field trip... coming back one foal shy and with much uncertainty as to whether or not she'll keep her job. After a day like that, it only makes sense it can't get any worse, right? .... right?

Hi all!

Released "Gut Instinct" a short story primarily about Cheerilee and a very nasty choice she makes at a teacher. It's rated teen, under dark, and currently incomplete. It was originally going to be titled "Black Bird" but I changed it a couple weeks back.
