A crash, followed by a roar. Someone was struggling. There was a dull thunk, and the solid smack of somebody hitting the floor. She looked toward the tiny window, thin as her horn near the top of the door, but couldn’t see anything.

The old, rusty iron hinges protested, as the magically reinforced wooden door squeaked open. The light from the torches burning outside was blinding after spending so long in the shadows. Celestia raised a hoof to shield her eyes.

For a writer, I really haven't fully grasped the concept of written communication =P

Sorry for the lack of forewarning. I've caught up to what I had previously prepared before I began posting the story, and now I have to make some decisions and tie up the finale. I'll be missing one day of posting (10/23, yesterday ^_^;), but I'll be back Tuesday 10/28 with the next chapter, and will stay solid through the end.
