Chapter 9 of Interview with An Unexpected Mage is now up on FiMFiction! (This time, please leave me some comments, willya?!)
Chapter 8 of Interview with An Unexpected Mage is now live, I repeat, live on FiMFiction! Enjoy! /)
I was working on the next chapter two weeks or so ago, when my roommate, who's studying to be a writer himself, asked me how it was going. I quoted him some of the next chapter, and he told me it wasn't really in character for Twilight. (We're both bronies, incidentally) I spent the next period of time trying and trying to rewrite that scene, but over time, the struggle to rewrite dried up my inspiration.
Well, you'd be wrong if you did. Sorry for the wait, gang... but the good news is, I've almost got the next chapter finished! I just need to decide where to end it, then I can post it. It should be up within the next 24 to 48 hours, Creator willing and the creek don't rise...
I realize it's been over two weeks since the last chapter, and I apologize, but life issues, insecurity, and writer's block have been combining to eat my inspiration for a metaphorical lunch lately... Bear with me, OK? We'll get over this mountain somehow, I promise...
I really hated the name "Interlude," so I altered the title. The reason the new one is plural is that there are two types of "rumination" going on in the chapter--one, obviously, means they're physically chewing their way through breakfast. The other? They're "chewing over" all the statements they've heard thus far from those involved in the Appleloosan riot, to figure out what to do next. Other than the title, however, the rest of the chapter remains essentially unaltered.
Come on, people. Alicorn Twilight is a canon thing now. You'll just have to grit your teeth and get used to it.
As for those of you who might be saying, "But musicluvr, we're four chapters in and nothing's really happened yet!"... bear with me. It gets better. Besides, not every HiE story has to have conflict to be good. /)
Publicly viewable again! I hope the changes I've made to the prologue help it mesh with The Audience a bit better.
Next chapter should be up... sooner or later. To slightly misquote : "Give it time..."
