Seriously, what happened to me? I am really sorry for the unofficial but very real Hiatus I have been on. The next Chapter though is ready to go, I just can't post it tonight because I need to go back and change the formatting for internal dialogue so that it matches with the new chapter. I think that the new formatting will help in differentiating dialogue between Twilight and Frostmourne and Twilight's thoughts.

So, I have returned to my house after an eventful summer. I was working at a Boy Scout camp and then this past week I went to the National Order of the Arrow Conference at Michigan State University. I would like to say that writing will recommence immediately, but that would be a lie. While working at camp I broke my finger and now typing is a bunch of tripping over the keyboard because I am down that finger. Thusly, it will probably be another week before progress returns.

I guess I should probably explain a few things about my writing. The reason I am very slow to update is because as much as I like creating a story, it is hard for me to type it because my brain runs through it too fast for my fingers to keep up. This means I get bored while typing very easily and its only when I am at my most tired that I can binge write out right. I hope this clears some stuff up with all of you. I have finished with the rewrite of chapter one of An Icy Existence. I really hope that you will all go and read it because I am super happy with how it came out. Specifically, there is a lot more combat between Arrested Thesis and Twilight Sparkle in the first part and I want feedback on how it is written. This story is going to end up having a fair bit of combat in it and if I need to improve on part of writing it, I would like to know.

I have been inactive for... to long... way too long. However, I have a surprise for you all now. With the help of my amazing editor Blood Lord, I have been rewriting the first chapter of An Icy Existence. Why should this excite you so much, because it includes 1,000,000% more combat. I plan on releasing the chapter by Christmas, and I have already written chapter four as well and it is just pending edits, so that should follow shortly. I wish you all a great holiday season!

After sitting in front of a mostly blank Google docs page for almost a month now, I think I am finally getting somewhere with An Icy Existence. It is hard for me to write chapters that mostly lack any action, (i.e. dialogue heavy chapters) because I feel like even thought they are necessary, I would rather explain the events through a more dynamic fashion. But I think I found a way to balance action and dialogue and get moving back towards the ultimate goal, which is a super awesome final
