You ever write a scene, then you think of a more interesting scene you'd rather be writing, and then you get bored with the scene you're currently writing?

There's a scene I've had in mind since very early into the conception of this story, and it was supposed to be in this chapter, but I've cut it due to concerns about the chapter's length, and, well, I'd rather be writing that scene to this one.

I want to apologize for the delay in getting this next chapter out; I haven't slipped into old habits, I promise. The fact is, this chapter came out much, much longer than I thought it would be going into it. The rough draft clocked in at nearly the same length as the previous chapter. And I have a disproportionate amount of time to work on it, now, versus the amount of time that needs to go into making it presentable.

Is completed! This calls for a party of some kind!

I'm not sure if anybody's noticed, but I'm writing at a much faster rate than normally (my normal rate is something like two words per solar decade). My new system for writing is a minimum of one full scene per day; since my chapters tend to be broken into seven or so scenes, that means I have a completed draft in about a week.

Provided I don't blow it again, I should start putting out chapters at an accelerated rate. Hype get? Hype get.

I like alliteration, okay? So sue me.

I've been thinking a lot about my tendency to leave my readers hanging for months on end, and decided that I should stop doing that. I have no idea what to write. My writing process for this one was very uninteresting.

As opposed to the last several chapters, this one was pretty cut-and-dry. The conflict in the castle had me constantly rearranging and rewriting the sequence of events, but everything that happened here happened almost beat-for-beat the same way that I'd intended for it to happen. Much of it was stuff that I'd conceived almost from the beginning of the story.
