Stupid freakin' rocky clay dirt...
I pushed back my release of AoS chapter nine to after 6PM tomorrow, PST. Tillie had more homework than I thought and she still has one more pic to produce for chapter art. The poor girl volunteered at a Shakespeare fair last night, and spent 3 hours straight drawing caricatures for the folks that came to her booth...
Listen to spanky up there. He knows what's up. LAST CALL for pre-readers!
So, Chapter nine came together in drips and drabs over the past eight weeks. Yes, eight weeks.. That being said, the chapter did have me stuck in a few spots where a scene just wasn't right until I changed the order of who a character talked to first.
True, I've had more free time as of late.
However, IRL there are other demands... I've chronicled all of that for you already. I'm enjoying my new job immensely, though.
At least it's the top half of what will be published tomorrow. Color will be much better in the comic, this was a pic under poor light. Hey, is anyone thinking of going to the Vanhoover Pony Expo tomorrow? I actually have a free day for the first time in long while.
Please... stand... by...
Settle down, Meadow... It's only Chapter Eight of Amulet of Shades...
The goodness is plentiful... enjoy....
Tempest has a conversation with... something...
Sorry for such a big pause in the writing... Working six days a week will do that to you.
Chapter should come out within the next seven days... hopefully sooner. For those of you who have been pre-readers, you are invited to do so again. For anyone else... I'll consider it.
It's been a dizzying last few weeks. Suddenly, I am finding myself employed six days per week instead of five... And the beatings will continue until morale improves! Actually, it's because I am selling my own clinic and this is my way of getting my foot in the door of the new one, which incidentally is only a mile from my house, so, there is that.
Awsome and new art of Tempest weaving her spell below...
Tempest joins her friends at Sisters' School (1000 years ago) to play a game of Ogres and Oubliettes... This chapter is a 10K chapter, and it is a fun one, with some critical details revealed in the flashback.
This took me longer than intended, but I have been too busy to blame it on procrastination - I've been too involved in the production of a Shakespeare Play - coincidentally it is the play called The Tempest. Heh.
So I have come to a decision...
Tell 'em, AJ!
The story must go on, and will not be deterred! That being said, changes forthcoming:
Mavis Morel has a question for all y'all...
I really need your input here, so please consider the following down below.
I want this story to do well. There is much story to tell. That being said, I dun goofed.
Amulet of Shades is progressing nicely. I am 30% done with my polish work on Chapter two... (still need an editor) and as soon as it's completed I'll send it out there. Thank you everyone for checking the story out, adding it, giving it a thumbs up, or simply commenting on it. Those are the things that keep me motivated.
Yes, I said I would publish Amulet chapter one part B. Yes, it is finished, all 12.4 K words of it. But I didn't find an editor and turn them loose until recently. He assures me that it will be done soon, hopefully by Monday... So, to at least to give y'all something, here is some of the art that will be featured in Part B. I think I will have two images embedded in the text of this part - below is the first one. All art by Tillie-TMB And, stay
Hi, Tempest! Um, what's going on there... in chapter 3? Creepy.
So, I'm Going on a little trip...
I will be on a lovely ship taking a lovely cruise up to Alaska, so I'll be offline for 8 days... The trip is a break very much needed!
Here ya go:
