Yes, you read that right. I don't have a title for this chapter yet. I have had months to prepare, and it has culminated in a lack of a chapter title.

I'm excited. When I finished writing The Dream some indeterminate number of months ago (I wish I had left a note for myself on that, though with enough digging I might be able to find something), I was thoroughly pleased, perhaps even ecstatic. At the time, I was fairly certain I've never written a chapter I've enjoyed writing as much as this one.

I'm considering making a few more blog posts about The Night's Stars over the next few days, or at least somewhat related to it. Nothing too terribly important, but I kind of want to share more thoughts.
Alright. I'm going to be upfront and admit I'm nervous about writing this blog post, but it's something that I need to do.
If you've been paying attention, you might have noticed a few things, namely, I only published one chapter in The Night's Stars in January, and that this chapter brought the story's word count to ~356,000 words long.

This blog post is a little late because I was rereading the chapter. I found a couple of typos in it that I've since fixed.
This is late because I both lost track of what day it is and what time it was. Mostly, I lost track of what day it was.
The tentative release date for The Night's Stars Chapter 26, "Respite" is in one week, on 12/12/19, at 5 P.M. E.S.T. I need to look back through this chapter to make sure it's ready, but I should be able to stick with this date unless something comes up.

If you've clicked on this blog post and are reading this, I'm going to assume you don't mind spoilers. As such, a collection of five excerpts from different chapters are presented below, in chronological order, but without greater context.
One year ago today, on November 17th, 2018, I published the first chapter in The Night's Stars. A full year later, it's come a long way and a lot has happened. So in celebration of today, I'll be making this blog post and at least two more blogs throughout the day. This blog post is more of an overview on what to expect in the blogs and general updates on the state of the story.
I almost forgot to make this post. 'Twas only by chance I saw the time and remembered.
I have not had a productive week as far as edits go. In theory, this isn't a problem. In practice, we'll see. I did finish rereading what I've written ahead, and after talking with my preader, I'm back to being worried as always, but we'll see how it goes.
I've been both distracted as of late, and busy over the past few days. I will probably post a blog post about what I've been doing over the past few days at some unspecified point in the future. It does relate to The Night's Stars... In the meantime, I've not been doing the editing or writing that I've not been doing, but that's not much of a problem!
I really did mean to do this last week, but I entierly forgot. And then the time was 7-9 and I didn't want to mess with it so late... and I decided I'd hold off since it wouldn't be a full week and my prereader hadn't gotten back to me..

Back on Tuesday night, I had a sudden surge of panic. "I forgot to publish a blog post advertising teasing the next chapter on Thursday!" But it was late, so I decided to sleep first. And then I checked and discovered the reason why I 'forgot': Because last Thursday was the day I uploaded Chapter 19. "Oh yeah! I'm safe, yay!"
I lost track of what day and what week it was in addition to my schedule.

I'm late! I'm here, but I'm late! I lost track of time... The tentative release date for chapter 19, "Chaos" is in one week, on 8/15/2019 at ~5-6 P.M. EST. I managed to draft 2 full chapters this week and I managed to do edits to the next few chapters last week, so I am finally making good progress! Now I'm just waiting on my prereaders.
As per usual, have a (possibly long-awaited) teaser presented without context!
I've not really said anything about this in a while, so I figure it's time for an update!
The short version is I'm behind, both in editing and writing ahead.
The long version is that my old prereader is still rather busy (though he's managed to get another review to me), and I've acquired a new prereader who has gone over the next few chapters. I need to go through these chapters again and do some more editing, but we're still talking. So it's being delayed.
The blog title summarizes my question fairly well. In short, I think I should probably take some time to go back, reread, and re-edit the chapters before Disorder with the goal of cutting down on wordiness and improving the pacing. Read as rewriting Twilight so she doesn't freak out about everything quite as much while still attempting to maintain her essence.
