This is a two-parter milestone for me, as im now at 17,220 words for NaNo and this chapter officially marks Alicornae as my longest single story since my disastrous first fic! Hurray for progress! Have fun with this one, I think it does a lot to hint at some larger mysteries and I think you'll really enjoy the ending for it. So, this'll be the last chapter I put up before NaNoWriMo starts, and it's an interlude between Part II and Part III that deals with the fallout from some of the stuff from Part II as well as a bit of a decompression from all the craziness of the last eleven chapters or so. Happy Movie Premiere Day! Dated Futurama references aside, I've rewritten everything in Alicornae that I lost in my iOS 11 whoopsie and then some. I actually like what I've written here better than the first draft since it feels like a more natural reaction to what Starlit went through last chapter than what I had initially, plus I'm doing the first real deep dive into her past for this chapter and doing the reveal of her 'issue' with thestrals. In the process of downloading these updates, however, I lost all of my works that weren’t backed up into iCloud, which included all of my work on Chapter 10 of Alicornae.
