I'm quite happy with the result. But first, next comic installment:
Just had to share 'cause I'm excited... Action, drama, comedy, stunning revelations... It's all there and I'm stoked.
...soon!
...have the next comic installment
Now for all of the spit 'n' polish.
Only then will I give it to my illustrious pre-readers. I'll also accept one to two more if there are any takers. I'm excited to get this chapter out, but it has to be baked and fricasseed properly. In the meantime, how about another comic?
Writing is weird for me.
You too? Weird...
Sometimes I will know the point to a scene, and what needs to happen. Actually, I plan that out all the time. I plan out chapters scene by scene, sometimes inserting one in, sometimes pushing something back until later. Either way, I have a particular goal in mind and items to accomplish for every scene, and a general goal for the chapter as a whole.
Hey all
Yep, Washington State is a crapshow and we're all "sheltered" in our hovels and huts.
Hello readers!
I wanted to plug a great adventure story, if indeed you are itching for a new adventure fic to read...
Interested in Daring Do?
Intrigued by a fun chemistry in the unlikely adventuring duo of Daring with Twilight Sparkle's mom, Twilight Velvet?
Captivated by secret backstories, discovered through the eyes of Twilight's curious #1 assistant, Spike?
Give this one a read:
Okay, so first of all, I need to share one of the finished pieces that features in chapter 12:
There is a second piece of art for the chapter (likely will be finished tomorrow) but I won't blog that one... it's a little on the spoiler-ish side so, you're gonna have to wait, peeps. Let me post another comic page, then I'll tell you where chapter 12 is at down below.
Just a lil taste. Tillie isn't done with this one. It's going to get some digital treatment because this shot happens at night... That's all I'll tell. Oh, next comic for everypony too:
So, a little change from the earlier announcement.
After reviewing the chapter with my artist/daughter/imagination-backup-station,
We decided this chapter was going to get a little too big with some larger events that happen in the wrap-up scene. it made more sense to break the chapter in half.
Amulet is up to 5000 words now... Yay. Not sure many caught the end of my last blog that had a fun comic page in it, so I have that here again, plus the following page. Tempest + Alistor, Am I rite?
Was all set to write and finish the next scene in Amulet today. Got the scene launched well enough. Then I got diverted into the kitchen. Whipped up some pecan encrusted dijon Pacific-caught halibut (given by a patient who had ruptured his bicep tendon). Was tasty. Complimented it with oven roasted brussels sprouts and fried potato discs, sliced with a mandolin and fried in a cast iron skillet with a mixture of peanut oil and olive oil.
Ugh. Cringe scene from Independence Day. Anyway, HOWDY, Y'ALL! It's been a while, but I'm still lurking. Now I'm back to writing.
Chapter twelve so far is up to 3500 words, but I'm only half done with it. But that process should pick up now that I have momentum. I'll go back to releasing comic pages here, so here's where I left off.
Okay, gang. Just got to load up the art (hee hee). You're gonna love this. Oh, and have a comic.
While you're here, wanna see some concept art? No major spoilers, just introduces a few minor characters, that's all... If you don't want to see spoilers (again, really not spoiling anything, as it doesn't give any of the plot away) then don't scroll past the comic.
Before I get to the updates, here's the next installment:
Hello all! Time for another update and comic.
First off, I finished the chapter. Next phase is for a few folks to comb through it. Also waiting on two bits of art for the chapter, which are in process as well. Looking forward to the results of each, and once done, we gonna launch this puppy. Thanks for staying with the story - I enjoy the creative process and collaborating with my daughter on this, but I also live for comments and reactions from any who care to do so.
...yes. She also loves her some Manicotti.
