I have done nothing but play Fallout 4 for six days.
I have played a glorified 40 hours in Fallout 4 (I only purchased the game not even a week ago). That's as much as a full-time work week!
Not only did I get my second ever update feature (the first one was My Little Luna but I wasn't around for that I just got told),
but I also scored me a slightly used Intuos 3 drawing tablet! (From local auction site, TradeMe.co.nz)
There's a few things I wanna go over, so I'll begin the first thing that comes to mind.
Originally I was going to save my 300th blog post (this one) for when I hit 500 followers, but I don't know how long that could take. So I figured it wouldn't ultimately matter and decided to make a post with a bit of news for one of my stories, A Nightmare Come to Life, arguably (stat-wise) my most popular, with Friendship Lessons also in excess of 10,000 views (yay!).
So I've finally managed to get around to looking over the edits and suggestions of the next chapter of ANCTL, and, well, it's been pointed out that it's, in my own words, shittier than Two Girls One Cup and more horrifying than Boku no Pico.
So yeah, I want to spend more time on it finishing everything up and filling in the multitude of plot holes that have been pointed out, because you guys deserve good reading material and not something at two women lick out of a cup.
The title says it all.
For all intents and purposes, the reason behind my post shall remain ambiguous as it will contain spoilers for my story.
Now onto the meat. Where would Ponyille keep it's graveyard, or any graveyard in Equestria for that matter? Some dank, dark place in the Everfree that's overrun with vines and gnarly trees? Would Celestia keep a Mausoleum of nobles and higher-ups of mages such as Clover and Starswirl?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Some of you may have noticed the lack of updates from Promise of Her Life and The worlds End. I've kinda sorta lost a lot of interest in those stories, and if I'm going to be picking one back up it'll be POHL. I say this because A Nightmare Come To Life has become my most popular story, and I want to focus my efforts on it for a while.
So the dude I asked to help proofread has seemed to gone MIA, and I haven't heard anything from him in excess of ten to eleven days. I don't know what happened, he could be busy with his life stuffs and all which is fine, but generally a little heads up is preferred so I'm not hanging off the hope they will do what they said. I'm pretty stuck for help right now outside of editors, and I want someone to critique for consistency. After all that, the chapter would have been out by now and I would
So I'm done writing the eighth chapter of ANCTL, but here's the thing.
I don't want to release it just yet.
Few reasons. One, it's unedited. Two, there's a pre-reader still going through it. Three, I want to release two chapters at once.
This is the eighth chapter as it stands: A tad under 5000 words, but that's subject to change depending on what happens with the editing and proofreading.
So you will all be glad to know that I published the sixth chapter to A Nightmare Come To Life, after two freaking months, amirite? What did you guys think of it?
I'm glad how well received it was with the readers too!
On a side note, Friendship Lessons broke 8000 views!
Today has been a good day
Yes, I do this a lot. Yes, it might be irritating for a few of you, but it's a personal thing I like to do; keeping my followers up-to-date with stories as I've finished a typing session. It is then I update the progress section on my main profile so others don't have to sift through my blogs for the update progress.
No, really, and not in a bad way either.
Yes, I haven't updated A Nightmare Come to life since last fucking November and that's my point. I haven't had people asking me when the next update is going to be, nor hounding me for one either. I've only had people express their interest in the story, favourite it, and follow me.
But jesus fucking christ, I STILL can't believe ANCTL hit 1000 favorites!
I got a message from someone whom follows A Nightmare Come To Life, and summarizing what they had to say was this, and I quote (verbatim).
Whether your stories entertain just a small group of people or grow in popularity to rival Past Sins by Pen Stroke, your story matters. By entertaining just one person, you still have made someone happy for some time.
And that in my opinion is the greatest feat that someone can accomplish.
WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW HUMBLED AND PRIVELAGED I AM!!!
Given this is the first time something this massive has happened to me (I mean seriously 1000 people my old school had 600 kids in it), when I hit 350 followers, which is only another two, I'll do an AMA for all those that want to participate.
