Hey guys. If you haven't read my last two blogs, you wouldn't know my computer was wrecked (making me lose 4,000+ words of Raising Rainbow). After my mom told my grandma, she generously gave me an old Android tablet. This was a blessing after I figured everything out and downloaded Kingsoft Office. The hardest thing, however, was/is getting used to the keyboard. Yesterday, I did a bit of "impulse writing" and came up with this. Now, keep in mind I haven't done any editing, and this was
If you guys haven't read my last blog, then you probably should to have an idea of what's going on .
Yeah, I'm pissed. Really pissed.
This morning, my bed broke, and fell on my laptop. Not only is it now unusable, but I lose over 4,000 words of the newest chapter of Raising Rainbow. Yeah, I'm pretty f*cking pissed.
So, the chapter will be a few days behind. I have to restart the whole damn thing.
Also, I now have to use the shitty computer my sister has, which internet goes 2mph. Doesn't even have f*cking Word. I have to use a Google Doc.
Well, that's it. It's finally, at long last, summer vacation! As you can probably imagine, I'm beyond thrilled. This summer, I'm happy to say I have hardly any plans, and do have some goals I'd like to share with you about FimFiction and writing.
My First Goal:
Write at least 100,000 words.
Yep. 100,000 words. That's 12,500 words a week, and around 1,785 words per day. I'm pretty sure this is something I can achieve, and I hope you'll support me through this.
Alright, for my next chapter of Raising Rainbow, I'll be having some new characters. I know their personalities and appearances, and I'm hoping you guys could help me name them?
1.) Appearance: He's a unicorn with a light blue coat, purple eyes, and a dark blue mane with lighter highlights. He's a stallion, and his mane is semi-messy with choppy bangs in the front. He's in his forties.
Yes, I'm aware, it was already a very long, two-part chapter, and last night I was completely satisfied with the ending.
Except now... I'm not.
Alright...well...
To start, this was a little image I found this morning while going through Derpibooru. Since this is my favorite (Background?) pony, I was very happy to see he got a card, but also a bit... unsatisfied? Disappointed? Confused? I'm not exactly sure, so I'll just share a few of my thoughts about this below.
Pros:
Hey, guys. Remember when I was stressed, barely producing anything, and getting anxious because I had so many rehearsals to attend to? Well, after hours and hours and hours of long, restless rehearsal, long nights, and awful mornings, we did the performance, and I think it came out exceptionally well, especially for a high school.
Here's a montage of clips from it:
To start, I am so, so grateful to Nightshade_Sonata for making this for me. It's really an honor, and weather you've favorited, upvoted, commented, or simply enjoyed my story Raising Rainbow, I love you. This story is my pride and joy and it makes me happy to think you guys enjoy it that greatly. I love you all very much.
I'm not even going to write a long paragraph explaining my current situation. I'm just going to jump into it.
First News; I'm working on a new fic:
I'm highly considering doing to 8,000 word (around) chapters instead of one 16,000 word chapter. I think that would make pacing better, and allow me to make the chapters more... full? I don't know. I'm just asking an in-general question about how you guys feel about it. I'm honestly considering dividing this chapter into two parts. Opinions?
Alright, as you all know, I'm currently writing Chapter 26 of Raising Rainbow. As you may also know, it's been taking me a long time to get this chapter out. Why? Lots of reasons. Mostly rehearsal. Anyway, the chapter will be out tomorrow, but I thought I'd give you all a little preview of it. This preview doesn't start at the beginning of the chapter, but a little ways in, and gets to what the whole chapter is kind of about. It's only around 1,500 words of
Oh my gosh, I love you all.
So...
Freaking...
Much...
I've been really stressed lately with rehearsals, and I honestly love the FimFiction/Brony community. You all mean the world to me and...
Gosh...
I just need to relax and take some time to write. My life hurts, and I'm exhausted. So, anyway....
Since you guys all mean the world to me, I'd like to know a few things about you:
1. Favorite character?
2. Favorite ship?
3. Favorite song/piece/genre of music?
Alright, so if you remember my last blog discussing future chapters, you are aware that things can change, be rearrange, and retitled so this isn't 100% completely set in stone, but it is the game plan that I wish to stick to. Now, these are only he titles (or at least, what I plan to title) of the chapters. It won't spoil that much, but it will give you a slight idea of what there is to come. I hope you enjoy, so here it is: the next fourteen chapter titles for Raising
Alrighty, as you may know if your one of my followers, my biggest project/priority on FimFiction is Raising Rainbow. I've been working on it since mid-December of 2013 and I've grown a lot in my writing habits since then. The story is my pride and joy, and I've had an absolute blast writing it.
Spring Break:
Alright, as you guys know (or not, depends) Spring Break is legitimately right around the corner! In five days, I will be as free as a bee! And unless my grandma tries to tie me down again, I'll have a full nine days to do absolutely anything I want (within legal standards)! Now, I don't want to waste my time this Spring Break. No, I want to be productive and get sh*t done! So, thinking about Fimfiction, here are my goals regarding the next Spring Break:
To start, this post regards Raising Rainbow, and if that's not a story of mine that has caught your interest, then ignore this.
Okay so my story Raising Rainbow currently has over 1,000 comments....
Wow....Just wow....
You guys seriously don't know how special that makes me feel... This story is my pride and joy. It takes a lot out of me, but it's so worth it. Thank you so, so much for all the support this story's gotten. You all mean a lot to me.
Also, before I started Raising Rainbow my longest story was 22,000 words long.... This one's going on 100,000 words. This is huge for me.
Now, I know I have never done this before (and I will RARELY ever do this with ANY chapter) but this chapter has me very, very excited. If you don't like reading ahead or simply enjoy reading chapters all in one piece with nothing to go by, then skip it. I'm mostly doing this because I'm very, very excited for the next chapter. I mean VERY excited. I haven't been this excited to write a chapter in long while. Not to say I don't enjoy reading other chapters, this one is just making me very
