So here we are, another anniversary having rolled around.

I had something special planned for tonight, but I just couldn't make the deadline. I tried, but it just wasn't a possibility.

I've been doing my best to get the next chapter typed up and ready, but it's proving difficult. When I can sit down and actually get some work done, it winds up only being a few sentences at a time. I'm trying to overcome this, but it's not looking very promising anytime soon.

In light of this new information, should I go back and edit the changeling arc to reflect this development in show canon?

Those that have been here long enough are aware that Xbox432, who's been here since the very beginning, has been serving as the unofficial proofreader. Unfortunately he's no longer able to do his thing do to more important matters that require his attention.

His departure, while understandable, is still hard. Now I find myself in need of someone new to take over the role of hunting through each new chapter in this mess, looking for typos and such. Sadly it's not a paying job.

This is probably a stupid question considering how far in I am, but I'm left wondering just how accurate my characterization of Ulquiorra has been, especially in recent chapters. As I read over past chapters to keep my thoughts straight and make sure I'm not leaving anything unattended, I can't help but wonder if somewhere along the line I've lost my understanding of what he truly is as a character, and have taken him in a direction out of line with that.

I tried really hard to have the next chapter ready for tonight, but it's just not going to be an option. Sorry folks, but even rushing the quality, it's not happening tonight.

It took a lot of effort, but I've got the majority of the next chapter ready for uploading. I just need to do a little more proofreading beforehoof.

Chapter 85 was supposed to be ready for release around this time. It's not like I've been goofing off or anything. It's just that the transition from one particular scene to another is just so hard to write since I gave more thought to the scenes before and after it, that I simply don't know how to do it. And I can't move onto the later parts either, so there's no help there.

That's right, there's going to be an update this Saturday.

Unfortunately the chapter had to be cut in half because the second half, which focuses on more of an action-oriented role, was proving to be too difficult to write in a timely manner. So that's going to be made into its own chapter, rather than tacked onto what's already done.

Just so everyone knows I'm not doddling on the next chapter. I'm like 8K words into it, but it's going to be a really involved chapter when it's up.

I tried. I really tried to get the next chapter out to be in time with the season finale. But it just didn't work out. Sorry folks. Too many things came up and distracted me.

This scene came to me in the course of writing, and I like it for a lot of reasons. But I'm not sure if it's going to overly complicate the overall story, if it should just be left out, or if it's worth fleshing out all the way, and finding a way to include it in what's already going to happen. So I need feedback from the people who are making this story a possibility.

A number of times I've had dreams where I've done something. Simple premise, but it's more than that. I've had dreams where I've built something, or wrote something, and have the memories of what might be months of on and off effort going into the construction process.

Last night I had dreams about finishing up a filler chapter for HiE after weeks of effort, all the details fresh in my mind, but I never wrote anything like I dreamed.

Does anybody else dream like that? Or am I the only one?

Despite my best efforts at hammering through the writer's block in order to get this story updating regularly again, certain obstacles still need to be addressed. In order to try and exorcise some of these damned demons, I started an unrelated side story. This doesn't mean I've stopped, I've just shifted my attention to a different project to relieve some of the pressure I'm dealing with.
