It's become pretty apparent that there have been our share of trolls in the group that try to dissuade us from the purpose of what this group has tried to show, that Humanity as a whole isn't some type of Genocidal species that ONLY cares for it's own selfish interests. We may have our faults as a species, but that does not negate the good we can do, or nullify our desire to improve.

Perhaps the biggest evidence of that is our entertainment, which while many shows try to perpetrate selfish interests and so our flaws as a race, the underlying message of many series, from Star Wars, the Marvel series, and even Game of Thrones, has always been about hope for a better tomorrow, where we can rise up from our petty differences and move on to something better.

Perhaps the BIGGEST shows that have come from entertainment that managed to surprise us ALL is both Star Trek and MLP, simple shows in premise, but have created a cultural phenomenon unlike any other. But I think the reason why these two shows have risen above and beyond their runs is not just to sell toys or to entertain, but they've given us something deeper, and I think this video about a speech from Gene Roddenbury himself tells us WHY these two shows have gone far beyond their initial ideas. :)

That was just beautiful:fluttercry::applecry:

Well said; and a great link there. We'll stumble, sure, again and again no doubt. But, more than that, we'll also keep walking forward towards something better. Our grandest dreams, those that capture so many hearts, show what we really want to strive towards. Thanks for this post.
