What if Chrysalis was really the original ruler of the Crystal Empire (Maybe she an alicorn before),and because of that she brought love and affection to all.

Then one day something happened; Sombra, greed, lust, whatever, and she became the Chrysalis we know today. Doomed to forever feed upon the love of others.

I dunno, just a random thought.

Pursue it in story writing. I'll read it.
