When writing second person I always either describe the response or give no response at all. I feel it's more immersive to leave it open to the reader.

IE: Instead of saying, "Oh yeah sure, sounds great."

I would use: You nod, giving an enthusiastic yes.

Thoughts?

Either seems fine but in my second person stories I always give the main character dialogue.

i like the dialogue:pinkiehappy: sure immersion is important, but so is a strong character.

It depends on what kind of story, and what kind of response you want to give from the main character.
Some times just describing what the character would say is good enough.
And sometimes only actual dialog would work. There's nothing wrong with doing either.
