  • 2225 AD - Tensions between the Unified States of North America and the Transural Republic escalate beyond breaking point - due to various reasons, war breaks out between the two powers, and vast networks of both old and new alliances cause almost the entire world to get engulfed soon after. Almost the entire Middle East is soon involved, because of a multitude of pacts and treaties signed centuries ago with the various states or their predecessors. USNA pulls in the entirety of the almost nonexistent North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and the obsolete Rio de Janeiro Pact, as well as a multitude of countries which signed individual treaties with the old United States, Canada or Mexico. Transural pulls in the entire, also obsolete, Collective Security Treaty Organisation (which at this point in time amounts to themselves and Mongolia), the militarised Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the Iranian Republic and the majority of Central African countries, which all have signed individual pacts or treaties with one of Transural's allies in the past. Of these countries, only China stays neutral, citing its non-agression pact with the United States, which it signed a century ago, as a reason. Unbeknownst yet to the participants, it is the beginning of what would come to be known as the Unification Wars.
  • 2226 AD - First ever space-to-space combat occurs, taking place above the Bering Strait, between the forces of Transural and those of countries allied with the USNA.
  • 2230 AD - The Nuclear Bombardments. Unified States of North America issue full nuclear retaliation for some presently unknown action, sparking response from other nations. Panzer Missiles are used, essentially impossible to intercept with contemporary technology. Pre-existing targeting data in Transural's systems and a glitch in the software result in the whole world becoming a target. The attacks end up not causing as much destruction and annihilation as they cause chaos - strategic targeting (administration centres, government buildings, military bases, safehouses) coupled with massive blackouts make virtually all governments collapse. The world survives nuclear apocalypse, but the ensuing anarchy will prove to be a hard trial for humanity. Nuclear winter on Earth begins, as the colonies are cut off from the cradle of mankind.
  • 2235 AD - The Martian-Lunar War begins.
  • 2240 AD - Nuclear winter on Earth lessens, and the first bigger survivor states form throughout Europe and China.
  • 2250 AD - The Battle of Io - misunderstanding, communication problems and lack of self-sustainability cause the soldiers from the old UN garrison on Europa - now serving as the research outpost's protection - to attack their Io counterparts. The battle is short and relatively bloodless. After the conflict is resolved, both outposts increase their cooperation, dedicating themselves to research - as long as their limited resources allow them to. To combat this problem, missions using experimental stealth technology across the Solar System commence, to gather both resources and intel.
  • 2260 AD - The Olympus Mons Rebellion on Mars begins, sparking the Martian War of Unification.
  • 2263 AD - The Olympus Mons Rebellion is suppressed - Mars reunified.
  • 2285 AD - Richard Andyman becomes Lord Admiral of the Martian Republic Fleet. A brilliant tactician and pioneer of space warfare, his exploits will contribute greatly to the Martian war effort against Luna.
  • 2293 AD - Richard Andyman demolishes Luna's navy in the critical Two Months' Battle, but the opportunities it opens are eventually squandered by the Martian High Command.
  • 2303 AD - First working quantum communication device developed on Europa.
  • 2305 AD - After numerous survivor states fall and rise, notably the highly influencial Kingdom of Russia, the many crusades of the once small European state of Paris, centered around the city spared by Nuclear Bombardments, as well as many diplomatic efforts result in the unification of Earth under one banner. The state soon centralises, squandering the promises given to its donors.
  • 2306 AD - Earth begins its Martian Campaign - the first step to reclaim the colonies.
  • 2334 AD - Richard Andyman captured by boarding - significant setbacks for the Martian Republic Fleet ensue.
  • 2343 AD - The end of the Martian Space Campaign - Earth troops land on Mars, capturing the planet in the same year. Lunar-Martian War, even though by now already long on standstill, formally ends due to the fact that one of the sides has ceased to exist. Earth's Lunar Campaign begins - left to be performed after Mars due to Andyman's significant influence on Martian politics prior to his capture, and thus a very real possibility of a Martian-Lunar alliance if Luna was to be attacked first - a completely unacceptable option. Logistical problems were deemed less critical, and thus Mars was chosen as the first target.
  • 2348 AD - Luna captured by Earth.
  • 2350 AD - Io and Europa surrender, after two years of fighting a final-stand defensive war in what will become known as the Final Sieges. The outposts' far superior technology is captured and reverse engineered by Earth, which soon reforms into the Empire of Sol.
  • 2351 AD - The Coup d'Etat - the republican movement overthrows the Empire of Sol, forming the Republic of Sol. The end of the Unification Wars.
